The corrupted creation
In the beginning, there were the gods. Six immortal beings, filled with knowledge, wisdom, and power. Together, they formed a perfect balance of power.
For six days and six nights, they toiled. They created the world as we know it today. They poured their wisdom and power into the world in hopes of creating a place where they might enjoy their existence and share their knowledge with other beings of their creation. As the gods were laying the finishing touches on their creation, they noticed something had gone terribly wrong. They could no longer send their power to the world, except for a tiny trickle. If they were to exist on this world, they would be mortal.
In disgust and disappointment, the gods were preparing to leave the world when they noticed that they were five and not six. One of the gods still held power over the world and was not going to relinquish it. Though the other five could no longer use their great power to radically change the world, they could send sparks of power into the world in an attempt to offset the one god who remained behind.
The one god remaining is determined to rule the world and have all things bow before her. The five other gods are trying to support the only free minded being left on the world: Humans.
